##### Hi I'm Jarmo!

![Me](https://mo.homelinux.net/images/9/8/d/5/4/98d54c0cb4050471e2d245082b6b5db88847314e-vos.png)By day I'm a network engineer, by night a Linux overlord, spider killer for my wife (I don't actually kill the spiders, I save them from my wife) and silly dad to my daughter and son. I like maintaining Linux systems and have played around with various distributions, I started with [SuSE](https://www.suse.com/) in the late nineties and switched to [Gentoo](https://www.gentoo.org/) in late 2003 and some experience with [LFS](https://www.linuxfromscratch.org/) but now prefer [Fedora](https://fedoraproject.org/) for desktop or notebook and [CentOS](https://www.centos.org/) or [Debian](https://www.debian.org/) for servers...
...and I started running a web server in 2006 with a static website about Embedded Gentoo for WRAP system boards by [PC Engines](https://www.pcengines.ch/about.htm).
Now, more than 15 years later, after the [WRAP](https://www.pcengines.ch/wrap.htm), an [ALIX](https://www.pcengines.ch/alix.htm) board, several years with [M0n0wall](https://m0n0.ch/) and [pfSense](https://www.pfsense.org/) I have been using an [APU2](https://www.pcengines.ch/apu2.htm) with [OPNsense](https://opnsense.org/) for a long time. So I no longer have a need for a customized Linux distribution and have discontinued the project. It is no longer the original site, but the original content can be found [here](https://mo.homelinux.net/home/gentoo-for-wrap).

Feel free to look around, you might find something useful, but don't expect too much. It's just for my own purposes, like running a web server somewhere and remembering how things were done.
If you like don't hesitate to drop me a line. You can use the [contact form](https://mo.homelinux.net/contact) to request my e-mail address and use my [public key](https://mo.homelinux.net/pubkey.asc).

**I like:** Freedom, my wife, my kids, my work, hiking, One Happy Island
**I don't like:** Silly rules, dishonesty, bureaucracy, borders

Sometimes I ...

- build things.
- fix things.
- write things down.
- break things.
- take pictures.
- lose things.
- read books.
- find things.
- watch races.
- wash the dishes.
- repeat myself.
- need an antidote.
- find my jokes funny and sometimes they are.
- just need one more thing.
- repeat myself.
